Sound effects, audio cues, messages, announcements, music, idents or stings.
All at the touch of a button.
The SoundChest audio cue player is therefore a valuable tool across the production industry: in the Theatre; for Live performance; Television game show stings; Danny Baker style Radio cues; or for on-location play-in fx - anywhere that requires simple and instant replay of an audio cue or message.
Free from the hassle of cueing disc players or the vulnerability and overhead of using computers "Live".
The SoundChest audio is stored as MP3, at the quality you choose, on a convenient and low cost Compact Flash card; with the audio stored to the card using almost any computer, MP3 compatible software and a Compact Flash slot or adapator. Organising the cues is simply a case of moving the files to the appropriate directories or folders that you've created on your card, using your usual drag 'n drop file manager.
Once the card is slotted into SoundChest, up to 100 sounds may be quickly assigned to the 10 keys, in 10 banks of 10. Each file easily located in the folders created on the computer.
Every cue can be non-destructively edited to match the application - start point, end point, dynamic volume, dynamic panning and looping; with momentary, hold (play while key is pressed) or latching (press to start, press to stop) key functions.
Cues can also be easily triggered using an external switch, control system relay or GPI input, allowing an actor, prop or control system to remotely fire the relevant cue.
SoundChest ships with a Compact Flash card loaded with a stock library of useful sound effects to get you started.
Connections include stereo balanced (TRS 1/4" jack) or unbalanced (phono) audio outputs, two trigger inputs and a security slot to allow this highly valuable tool to be secured to the furniture using a standard computer notebook security cable.
