In a new Mac-friendly design that will add style and substance to the sharpest looking edit suite, the Eclipse is a professional-quality control surface that puts an array of controls at your fingertips: 3 transparent, backlit, trackball mechanisms with moulded control rings for the fastest access to colour parameters; plus 5 detented and 6 smooth, high-resolution, rotary encoders, 41 illuminated function keys; 7 edit keys, 3 VF displays, a blue LED timecode display, professional transport buttons with status indicators and JLCooper’s classic dual-concentric jog/shuttle control.
Eclipse CX includes 2 interface card slots for connection via 10/100 Ethernet, USB, RS-422 or RS-232.
JLCooper controllers let you steam through the work flow with increased proficiency and improved ease-of-use, and with the all-important tactile response that is missing from software only user interfaces.
New mapping software for Mac OSX allows Ethernet or USB equipped controllers to access most editing functions in Final Cut Pro and other professional applications. The smart software driver knows which application is in the foreground and switches automatically for seamless control.
It also provides context-sensitive Final Cut Pro Jog/Shuttle with user control of text displays.
A new Eclipse Bridge Controller/Expander (not shown) adds 4 additional banks of VF displays, 3 hi-res push-button rotary encoders per bank (with reset buttons) and 8 global function keys.
