The MCS3-USB is a desktop motion controller that provides fast and effective motion control of audio and video workstations.
The MCS3-USB is an attractive and considerably more efficient alternative to mouse-clicks or keyboard short-cuts for managing the transport and edit functions of any workstation or production system.
And being built to last, it is no surprise that the the MCS3 is used extensively in Broadcast and Production facilities around the world.
The MCS3-USB features five large primary transport controls and JLCooper's unique and highly effective dual-concentric jog/shuttle control. The outer-ring controls shuttle, while the inner-disk provides high resolution jog, which together give probably the fastest and most accurate tool for locating audio or picture cues.
Immediately under the fingertips around the jog/shuttle control are seven programmable function keys, with a further six along the top edge of the controller.
Many applications will talk directly to the MCS3-USB (check with your application supplier or with the JLCooper compatibility database), where the functions provided by these keys are determined by the application itself. Alternatively, JLCooper's powerful Windows or Mac interface application will convert key and control operation to keyboard shortcuts, mouse-clicks or menu selections to control any application. The MCS3-USB is supplied with a number of pre-programmed "keysets" for many of the most popular applications.
The MCS3 is also available in the following versions:
- MCS3-MIDI - A dedicated MMC controller.
- MCS3-RS422/9-pin - A VTR controller using the Sony or P2 control protocol.
- MCS3SP - An RS422/9-pin VTR/DDR controller fitted with a professional VTR-style jog/shuttle control.
