VTR/DDR Controller with dual concentric jog/shuttle control
The MCS3-RS422/9-pin is desktop motion controller that provides fast and effective motion control of audio and video workstations, VTRs and Video disk recorders (DDRs) using the standard Sony 9-pin or P2 control protocol.
The MCS3-RS422/9-pin is an attractive and considerably more efficient alternative to mouse-clicks or keyboard short-cuts for managing the transport and edit functions of any Sony 9-pin controllable workstation, VTR or production system.
Being built to last, it is no surprise that the the MCS3-RS422/9-pin is used extensively in Broadcast and Production facilities around the world.
The MCS3-RS422/9-pin features five large primary transport controls and JLCooper's unique and highly effective dual-concentric jog/shuttle control. The outer ring controls shuttle, while the inner disk provides high resolution jog, which together give probably the fastest and most accurate tool for locating audio or picture cues.
Immediately under the fingertips around the jog/shuttle control are seven edit function keys, which, when used in partnership with the jog/shuttle control, provide a fast and efficient way of identifying and marking edit points; with a further six keys along the top edge of the controller for setting the type of edit or record function.
The MCS3 is also available in the following versions:
