Yamaha 02R96VCM

The 02R96VCM is the latest derivative of the 02R, the mixer that set the standard for affordable digital mixing when it was first released in 1995.

But this latest incarnation bears little resemblence to its older sibling.

The 02R96 can mix up to 56 channels to 8 group busses or stereo, plus 8 auxilliaries; with each channel equipped with 4-band EQ and a full complement of dynamics processing.

The fader section incorporates professional quality touch-sensitive motorised faders, each with Channel Select, Solo, Channel On and automation keys.

The mixer features 16 Mic/Line inputs, four stereo line inputs; digital and analogue stereo outputs and 8 Omni outputs which can be connected to any of the group or auxilliary busses. In addition, the 02R96 has 4 MY slots for installing optional MY interface cards, each capable of carrying up to 16 channels in a range of analogue or digital formats.

The control surface incorporates many new features for improved ease and speed of use. These include 6 display control keys for quick access to display pages, a Display key in each control section that instantly opens the appropriate screen; a Selected Channel control section that includes full control of channel EQ, Dynamics, Routing, Delay and surround and stereo panning; rotary encoders dedicated to controlling the variable parameters currently displayed in the screen above and 16 user-programmable function keys.

The 02R96 is also equipped with powerful snapshot and dynamic automation and a highly flexible surround monitoring section, which includes many of the functions previously only found on dedicated film consoles or stand-alone surrround monitoring controllers.
